When will the website be live?

Pass your Test will be open for driving instructor registration from 1st July 2009. This is before the website launches to the general public. This will allow driving instructor's time to build up their driving school profile on the website in readiness for the site launch.

When will the website go live to the public?

The website is currently going through a testing phase that is important to the development. The website will go live to the general public on July 2009. The launch will include a 6 figure cross platform advertising and PR budget using a mix of online, offline and sponsorships to drive users to the website.

Why should an Instructor get involved?

Pass your Test has been developed to help both learner drivers and driving instructors. Driving Instructors will benefit from all the same tools as a learner driver but they can also earn money from using the site as well as getting pupil referrals. As the site develops we will be adding applications to help a driving instructor such as lesson booking and client management. (more info later in FAQ's)

How much will it cost?

The cost for a driving instructor to register for Pass your Test will cost £9.99 for 12 months access. (Although your 12 months will not start till the 1st August 2009).

How much will it cost a learner driver?

The cost for a learner to use the website will be £6.99 for 3 months access. They can then renew for a further £3.99 should they need to.

Can an instructor make money from Pass your Test?

Yes - Registering as an instructor on Pass your Test automatically creates an affiliate profile and you will be automatically allocated your ADI number. Every time you refer the website to a pupil or friend and they register using your ADI number your affiliate account will be credited with 20% of the registration fee. You can also place a Pass your Test web banner on your school website that will include your ADI number in the HTML code. Pass your Test will then recognise where the link has come from and credit your account again when the referral registers.

Only 5 referrals to Pass your Test per year will mean that the registration cost to the site is free for the instructor...

The main way for an instructor to make money from the site is to build up a good profile and then receive leads from interested learner drivers in your area. The better your profile, the more leads you will get.

How can instructors promote the website?

As well as the option of using a banner on your own website, Pass your Test has produced a "Tesco Club Card" style mini promo card that fits on your car key ring and can be given out to your pupils. The card has 3 white strips on the rear that the instructor writes their ADI number on. The pupil then uses the other 2 strips for recording their username and password. Each instructor will be sent 10 mini cards when they register. More will be available on request.

How will learner drivers find my Driving School?

Pass your Test has a powerful built in search engine that will display the instructors closest to the postcode of the learner driver. Each learner will be able to select how wide a search they want from their home. This search can then be filtered down down further by affiliation, gender, qualifications and car type for example to find the perfect match for them.

How can we show we run a good Driving School?

Once a learner driver requests your services, they will be added as a friend on your driving school network. Once they have passed their test, they will be allowed to leave feedback with a mark out of 5 as a rating for your school. This will then be viewable to learners in your profile. If you believe you have been given bad feedback for a un-just reason you will be able to request that it be reviewed by Pass your Test.

What will happen to the website once it is live?

The website will grow every day as new tools and applications are developed to help instructors. We aim to make the website the best resource for driving instructors in the UK. Applications already in development include - online lesson booking, an online driving school diary where your clients can search your availability and book a lesson in a clear spot while you are out working, client profiles and client progress databases to name a few.

Can Instructors use any of the content from the website?

Pass your Test will allow registered instructors to use elements of the content for there own websites subject to linking back to Pass your Test. We will have online theory tests, hazard perception tests, road sign quizzes and practical animations. These applications will not be the full systems but will be created as sample sizes - for example a 10 question theory test etc. For further information please contact us on 01204 669 566.

What is Pass your Test TV?

Pass your Test wanted to develop a more informative learner driver experience and therefore progressing the developing of a dedicated TV programme, which will be updated each month and will deal with a variety of driving related issues such as drink and drug driving, seatbelt safety and mobile phone abuse etc. Basically, any topic related with safe, responsible driving, even if it is not part of the national test. The serious parts of the programme will be mixed with some fun product reviews and driving related news.

What other driving instructor developments are on the way for ADI's?

Pass your Test will be developed to be the best resource for driving instructors available. As well as supplying tools to help work with your pupils, we will also help you build your business. We are developing 2 specific sections for ADI's and PDI.

In the ADI section will be downloadable pre designed business cards, promo fliers, posters etc that can be easily tailored to your business to help you generate business via referrals from shops or your local post offices etc.

We will also have downloadable teaching resources such as stopping distances, Traffic Signs, Show me Tell me and practical teaching notes.

What other driving instructor developments are on there way for PDI's?

Pass your Test have done a lot of research into the accessibility of information for PDI's. We want to develop a powerful resource that delivers this information to help potential driving instructors access the information they need to get on the road.

The PDI section will have the following information -

Part 2 - Driving Test	Tutorials - animated key manoeuvres. Practice tips and talk through notes. Observational development - Buddy up.
Part 3 - Instructional Test	Tutorial on constructing a lesson plan. Phase 1 and Phase 2: The differences and what is expected of you. How to deliver a briefing, including content, timing, key points, using Q&A, training aids. Controlling the lesson, dealing with role-play, wrapping up the lesson. The core competencies.
